Breedon Aggregates Limited

Breedon Holdings Limited, whose trading history dates back to 1996 as the former Ennstone plc, was acquired by Breedon Aggregates Limited (formerly Marwyn Materials Limited) on 6 September 2010.

Breedon Aggregates is now a publicly listed company on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange, with a range of investors including a number of leading UK financial institutions which have recognised the opportunity to support Breedon Aggregates' strategy to grow through consolidation of the UK heavyside building materials sector.

Breedon Aggregates is the largest independent operator in the UK aggregates sector after the five global majors, with 26 quarries, 18 asphalt plants and 40 read-mixed concrete plants in England and Scotland. The group has strong market positions in Scotland, the Midlands and Eastern England and nearly 200 million tonnes of mineral reserves and resources.

The group's Scottish operations employ around 400 people, with headquarters just outside Dundee. The group's English operations employ around 430 people, with headquarters at Breedon-on-the Hill near East Midlands Airport.
